Course Description
Beginning at an elevation of 6,850 ft, the odd laps (clockwise) will take you south up South Fork of Ophir Canyon Rd to 8,000 ft Mercur Overlook; then west up to the beginning of the 8,400 ft Silverado Traverse; next you will climb south another 300 ft up to the summit of Porphyry Hill - enjoy the 360° views of the surrounding 10,000 ft+ Oquirrh Peaks, Rush Valley, and the distant Stansbury, Onaqui, and Sheeprock Mountain Ranges; then head back down to Silverado Traverse, which you will head northwest on; peering down into Ophir Canyon, you will descend Long Trail Gulch, eventually catching sight of the quaint still-occupied mining town of Ophir; briefly head east on Ophir Canyon Rd; then make a brief climb south back to the Start/Finish Area. Even laps will be run in counter-clockwise direction.
Running in late November, you could find yourself running on dirt, in chilly temperatures...or you could find yourself powering through fresh powder! We'll see what this year brings.

Start/Finish Area
You'll be here at the end of each lap! We'll have hot/cold food and drink available for you. You're also welcome to keep your own "drop bag" at the start/your vehicle. If you tap out and choose not to continue, stick around for as long as you can and cheer on the other runners.
